Plaqtiv+

Healthy teeth are important for the overall health of your dog or cat. Just like people, dogs and cats can suffer from plaque and tartar. If these are not removed, the gums may become inflamed. The gums become red and may even start to bleed. Inflammation can then allow bacteria from the mouth to enter the body through the bloodstream and cause infections elsewhere.

Oral hygiene

Healthy teeth start with good oral hygiene. By taking preventive care of your pet’s teeth, you can help prevent the formation of plaque and tartar. This can be done by brushing regularly or by using a dental care product. Have your dog’s or cat’s teeth checked regularly by your veterinarian, because once tartar has formed, it must be removed by the veterinarian under anaesthetic. By making dental care part of the daily routine, you support your dog’s or cat’s oral health.

Dental care

There are several ways to care for your dog’s teeth every day. Choose the solution that best suits you and your dog or cat:

  • Toothpaste: brushing is the most effective way to remove plaque. Ideally, start at a young age so that your dog or cat becomes accustomed to it.
  • Water additive: add 2 capfuls of water additive to your dog’s or cat’s drinking water to care for their teeth.
  • Wipes: these are convenient wipes that you wrap around a finger and apply to your dog’s or cat’s teeth.
  • Oral spray: using this does not put pressure on the gums, making it very easy to use. It is also ideal when travelling.
  • Dental sticks: thanks to their star-shaped structure, active algae and added zinc, these sticks offer a threefold action that mechanically cleans the teeth and reduces plaque. They are also vegan and low in calories.

Plaqtiv+

What makes Plaqtiv+ unique is its innovative Xpersiv™ technology. This technology helps reduce the adhesion of plaque to the tooth surface, making it more difficult for new plaque to attach. By keeping plaque under control, tartar formation is also reduced and the teeth remain healthy for longer.
