Vitamin C Powder is a food supplement for guinea pigs based on Vitamin C.
Vitamin C Deficiency
As guinea pigs cannot produce Vitamin C, they often suffer from deficiencies. Symptoms may include poor healing of wounds, subcutaneous and internal bleeding, soft bones, crooked spine, muscle weakness, diarrhoea, anaemia, paralysis, decreased immunity, increased sickness, or soft molars and incisors.
Dosage and administration:
10-16 mg per kg of body weight daily. During pregnancy, give 30 mg per kg of body weight. Mix with food.
