To help you give your cat a pill, you could use the Easypill or Tricktreat. The Easypill is a putty-like substance that will help mask the pill’s flavour and shape. By wrapping the tablet in the tasty putty you will increase the chance of your cat accepting and swallowing the pill. The Tricktreat is a little cupcake, perfectly shaped to ‘hide’ pills and it has a permeable structure, which allows pastes and fluids to be fully absorbed. Another option includes a Buster Tablet Introducer, to use this place the pill at the end of the dispenser, open your cat’s mouth and push the pill dispenser as far into the back of the throat as possible, encouraging them to swallow it.
Other medical instruments that could be useful include thermometers, pill splitters, nail clippers and latex gloves.
