Versele-Laga Prestige Loro Parque
For tropical birds like parrots and cockatoos, Versele-Laga has developed a separate recipe that are turned into the Prestige Loro Parque diets. This food is formulated in collaboration with a scientific team in Loro Parque (Tenerife) and in this bird park, it’s used as a basic feed for all big Ara’s, and various cockatoos. The two parties did various research together and they’ve come up with a blend that keeps the birds healthy and in tiptop shape.
Weakened birds
Birds that are sick need food that is easily digestible and that contains supportive nutrients. Harrison’s has even developed a feed that is suitable for birds that are weakened or slimmed down. This highly digestible diet is biological and has been developed by food experts and bird veterinarian Greg Harrison. The food doesn’t allow birds to eat their food selectively: each bite contains a mixture of nutrients that keep the birds healthy. Plus, the food can even be administered manually or with a tube.
Treats for birds
Like all pets, birds deserve a nice and tasty treat every now and then. Vetsend sells special bird treats that can be given alongside the regular bird feed. Their size has even been adjusted to fit right into the bird cage, so your bird can enjoy it for a longer period of time.
